Part of what makes Portland so stunning is the nature that not only surrounds the city, but that is integrated within it. There's no shortage of gorgeous parks and trails to spend time on as well as viewpoints or look outs. The famous Pittock Mansion resides on top of a hill, which allows for stunning views of the city below. Up the Columbia Gorge is Multnomah Falls with even more incredible views .
There are so many entertaining things to see and do in Portland. Powell's Books is located in the Pearl District and is the largest new and used bookstore in the world. We also have the Portland Rose Garden and the Oregon Zoo, as well as OMSI. Portland is also home to Voodoo Donuts, and the world's smallest park.
There is no shortage of amazing restaurants, bakeries and food trucks for all the foodies out there. The city is filled with award winning restaurants, even a few owned by Top Chef contestants, but also incredibly yummy and affordable places to eat. Portland is also home to Blue Star Donuts, and Stumptown Coffee. Food trucks are also extremely common in Portland and insurrounding areas or neighborhoods. There are pods scattered around the city; each truck's fare unique and equally delicious.
The neighborhoods in this area include, Mississippi, St. Johns, Kenton, Williams and many more. Nearby is downtown, restaurants, bars and cafés. Also the Portland International Raceway, the University of Portland and Cathedral Park.
In this area, is where the Alberta Arts District resides as well as, Beaumont, Hollywood and Llyod. This is also where the Moda Center, Oregon Convention Center and the Veterans Memorial Coliseum can be found. Local arts is popular in this area due to the Hollywood Art Theater and the Alberta Street Gallery.
The Pearl District, Old Town Chinatown, Nob Hill and other both residential and industrial neighborhoods reside in this quadrant. This area is know for its vintage shops, but also larger brand stores, and a great nightlife.
This is a subdistrict containing industrial factories, but also amazing restaurants, breweries, boutiques and is close to the Willamette River.
Within this area are several neighborhoods like Hawthorne, Belmont, Division and Sellwood-Moreland. This is also where Mt. Tabor, the dormant volcano is and its beautiful park with views of the city. The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry and the Leach Botanical Gardens reside here as well.
Southwest includes Downtown, Goose Hollow and Multnomah Village. Providence Park, home to the Portland Timbers and Portland Thorns is also in the quadrant. The Oregon Zoo, the International Rose Garden, Pioneer Courthouse Square, Portland Art Museum and Washington Park all reside here.
This is a smaller strip west of the Willamette River. It is known to be a laidback waterfront community with wonderful dining and shops.
